Ensuring Occupational Safety and Health Excellence

Commitment to a Safe and Healthy Workplace at Trans Desert Contracting & General Maintenance Establishment

We, at Trans Desert Contracting & General Maintenance Establishment shall continually provide and maintain a safe and healthy workplace in all our projects. Consistent with this policy, we will establish, document, implement, maintain, and continually improve our Occupational Safety & Health Management Systems (OSHMS) as compliant to the OSHAD SF V3.1 requirement.

We shall:

  • Commit to prevent occupational-related injury and illness in order to enhance employee health and well-being.
  • Set a clear roles and responsibilities for Safety & Health performance at all levels of the organization.
  • Establish a method for occupational hazards identification and assessment, and reducing and managing their risks.
  • Demonstrate top management's involvement and support in all Safety & Health initiatives and strengthen employees' participation in Safety & Health programs.
  • Set and review objectives and targets, ensuring an effective and continually improving OSHMS.
  • Consult with our employees on matters affecting their health and safety.
  • Fostering a positive health and safety culture by an effective communication, participation, and consultation with our employees, visitors, and contractors.
  • Ensure that all our employees are competent in performing their tasks by providing information, instruction, supervision & training.
  • Compliance to applicable legal and other requirements in relation to Occupational Safety & Health.
  • Establish and implement an effective and appropriate emergency response plans and strategies.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report our Occupational Safety & Health performance through inspections, audits, and management reviews.
  • Communicate this policy to all employees in TDE & stakeholders
  • Periodically review and revise this policy on a continual basis, at least annually and as necessary, to ensure its relevance and appropriateness to our organization.

TDE will do its best in this direction. In addition, we shall ensure that the above stated requirements are met and implemented. We are further committed to a program of continual improvement in the performance of our OSHMS and ensure that all our business operation remains relevant, suitable, adequate, and effective.
